5 Days of Money: A Devotional for Christian Men

Five short emails over five days. Each one builds on a single biblical idea -- that you are a steward, not an owner. Each day works it through a different area: budgeting, debt, giving, saving, and the long picture. Pastoral and practical. Written for men who never had a father model good stewardship.

5 emails, delivered daily. Starts immediately.

Resource 2 of 2: Bonus

12 Mistakes Christian Men Make With Money

A 12-page PDF delivered inside the devotional sequence. Covers the full arc -- from the stewardship lens through debt, giving, and the long picture -- with specific numbers, Canadian context, and honest pastoral observation. These are the patterns Dan sees again and again in counselling.

If any of this sounds familiar, you're in the right place.

  • Nobody sat you down and taught you how to handle money, faith or otherwise
  • You carry debt you haven't told anyone about, and the shame has turned into avoidance
  • You want to give more but aren't sure if you can afford to
  • You're the provider for your family and you're not confident you're doing it right
  • You've tried budgeting before and couldn't stick to it
  • You know Scripture talks about money but you don't know how to connect it to your actual numbers

A note from Dan

I'm a pastor in Ontario. I went to school for financial services and used to hold a mutual funds licence and a life insurance licence. When ministry became my full-time work, I let those licences lapse. I've spent the last several years sitting across from men who are carrying more than they've told anyone.

The men I sit with aren't irresponsible. They're uninformed, or they're stuck, or they've been managing by feel for so long that looking at the real numbers feels like opening a bad test result.

This devotional is what I wish I could hand every one of them at the start of that conversation. Not a financial plan. Not a lecture. A lens: one biblical idea that makes the rest of the decisions easier to hold.

It's free. It takes five minutes a day. And if it shifts something for you, that's worth more than anything I could charge for it.
